ACTIVITY 3.2: WORKPLACE CULTURES

Complete this activity and place it in the Portfolio

Consider the following questions:

  1. What kind of organisation will you be joining during the practicum?
  2. What is its distinctive culture?
  3. What cultural differences do you expect when moving from the university environment to this workplace?
  4. Think of five words or phrases that people in your host organisation might use to describe the university ‘culture’.
  5. Now try to describe what you think the practicum workplace culture might be like from your point of view.
  6. How do you plan to tackle the differences?
