A bibliography lists all the works that have been consulted in an essay whether they have been cited or not. A bibliography should be organised alphabetically under primary and secondary sources as follows:

Primary sources

  • Books, journal articles
  • Documentary films
  • Interviews

A primary source is an original work by a designer or artist, a collection of their works or an original film or interview.
